One of the most desirable of all the original lithographs done by Picasso.
The same lithograph was sold at Bonhams for £14,000 (16 December 2021, Lot 28).
Lithograph in 18 colours, on Arches paper, the full sheet. From the plate signed edition of 250 first produced in 1956 as a frontispiece for the book "Dans l'atelier de Picasso", this impression used as the cover of the volume "Ces Peintres Nos Amis Vol. II" with the colours reworked by the artist, printed and published in 1960 by Mourlot, Paris, unframed.
The work was first produced in 1956 as a frontispiece for the book "Dans l'atelier de Picasso", Picasso later embellished the print with additional colours, for the cover of "Ces peintres nos amis, Volume II".
